The Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ

Image
Jesus Christ Said He Would Be in the Tomb for Three Days and Three Nights "What is the biblically accurate chronology of Jesus Christ's crucifixion and resurrection? This timeline perfectly accommodates three full nights (Wednesday night, Thursday night, and Friday night) and three full daylight periods (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday). This is the only time that fits Jesus' own prophecy of how long He would be in the tomb. And fits perfectly with all the details recorded in the Gospels." Tuesday: The Passover "Jesus Christ ate an evening Passover meal with His disciples (at the beginning of Nisan 14, Jewish reckoning) and instituted the New Covenant symbols (Matthew 26:26-28). Jesus was then betrayed by Judas, arrested, and during the night brought before the high priest." Wednesday: Jesus Was Crucified "Jesus was crucified and died around 3 p.m. (Matthew 27:46-50). This was the preparation day for the annual—not weekly—Sabbath, which began at sunset...

Christian Views on Mexican Immigration

Image
Christian Basics on Immigration from a Neighbor Country First of all the Bible says to pray for our leaders. To criticize President Biden is ok but you also need to pray for him because if you are a Christian you do what the Bible tells you to do regarding our leaders. You can always send a message to the President if you think some of his policies need to change. President Biden has his own policies regarding Mexican immigration and his policies are more humane than the republican policies because Republicans want to build a very expensive wall and instead of building such a wall, America could feed the homeless and give the homeless homes and also help Mexico economically. Mexico is America's Neighbor to the South Mexico is part of America and also Mexico is our direct neighbor to the south. Jesus said to love our neighbor as ourselves. If we don't have the finances to help we can always pray for this situation. We should give them what they need and beyond if we can do that ...

What Were Jesus' Physical Features?

The Most Likely Physical Features of Jesus Christ In her 2018 book "What Did Jesus Look Like?", Taylor used archaeological remains, historical texts, and ancient Egyptian funerary art to conclude that, like most people in Judea and Egypt around the time, Jesus most likely had brown eyes, dark brown to black hair and olive-brown skin. He may have stood about 5-ft.-5-in. (166 cm) tall, the average man’s height at the time. More About Jesus' Eye Color “His eyes shall be red with wine,” which may sound like drunkenness, but Jesus was not given to drunkenness. The NIV says, “His eyes will be darker than wine.” Combining these two translations, he concluded that the Messiah’s eyes would be “redder than wine.” Combining these two translations, he concluded that the Messiah’s eyes would be “redder than wine.” This was further corroborated by John’s vision. The passages alluded to say that his eyes “are like fire,” supporting that they are red in color. This could also mean they w...

The Voice of the Martyrs

Richard Wurmbrand, the Founder of The Voice of the Martyrs Richard Wurmbrand was born the youngest of four boys in a Jewish family on March 24, 1909, in Bucharest, Romania. Gifted intellectually and fluent in nine languages, Richard was active in leftist politics and worked as a stockbroker. On Oct. 26, 1936, Richard married Sabina Oster, who was also Jewish. They placed their faith in Jesus Christ in 1938 due to the influence of a German carpenter named Christian Wölfkes. Richard was ordained as an Anglican, and later Lutheran, minister. “He stood amid lions, but they could not devour him.” – Philadelphia Herald During World War II During World War II, Richard and Sabina saw opportunities for evangelism among the occupying German forces. They preached in bomb shelters and rescued Jewish children out of the ghettos. Richard and Sabina were repeatedly arrested and beaten and, at least once, nearly executed. Sabina lost her Jewish family in Nazi concentration camps. In 1945, Romanian Com...

The Beauty of Sarah, Rachel, Leah and Rebekah

The Fair Women of the Bible Genesis 12:1111-13) Thou Art a Fair WomanFor the word yephath, rendered “fair,” see Genesis 9:27 . Though its general meaning is beautiful, there can be no doubt that the light color of Sarai’s complexion was that which would chiefly commend her to the Egyptians; for she was now past sixty, and though vigorous enough to bear a son at ninety, yet that was by the special favor of God. As she lived to the age of 127 ( Genesis 23:1 ), she was now about middle age, and evidently had retained much of her early beauty; and this, added to the difference of tint, would make her still attractive to the swarthy descendants of Ham, especially as they were not a handsome race, but had flat foreheads, high cheek-bones, large mouths, and thick lips. Abraham Feared His Wife's Beauty Twenty years later we find Abram still haunted by fears of the effects of her personal appearance ( Genesis 20:2 ), even when living among a better-featured race. From  Genesis 20:13  i...
