What is Biblical, Cremation or Burial?
What should one Choose, Cremation or Burial? I wanted to know how God feels about cremation or burial and I found the solution by knowing that cremation is not mentioned as a correct disposal of the body in the Bible. The article I will post about the topic mentions that the body of a Christian contains the Holy Spirit and therefore that body needs to be treated with respect. In the Bible, cremation occurs only surrounding negative events. If you do choose cremation because it is more affordable, etc., then you should have your ashes buried not sprinkled is what the article also says since the Bible does mention burial as being a preferred method. The Bible does mention burial as a preferred method of disposing of a dead body because all the important people in the Bible such as Jesus (in the tomb), Abraham, Sarah, etc. were buried.
