The Truth About the Trinity

Introduction
An explanation about how God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are not a trinity.

God is Plural
In Genesis 1:25-28 it says, "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." It clearly says in this verse that man was created in "our" image, which is God's image in the plural. Since God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are plural they cannot be a trinity. To better describe this, God the Father is the highest being in the universe as Jesus explains and Jesus is God the Son and then there is the Spirit of God the Father, which is God the Father's Spirit given to Jesus to also give to Jesus' followers.

Jesus Was Created by God the Father
This is controversial in the Christian views but if someone is born, even if he is supernaturally created by God the Father, He is still a creation, a supernatural creation. Jesus was created and God the Father created Him with the Holy Spirit and nobody should disagree with that but many still disagree. So a Trinity is again impossible because a being cannot create itself.

The Definition of the Trinity
The definition of the Trinity is that "the Christian Godhead is one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit." The Trinity is the idea that God is one being, but exists in three distinct persons. The word "trinity" comes from the words "tri" and "unity", meaning "three" and "one." This definition seems to be saying that 3 distinct beings are wrapped up in one being. This could possibly mean that in reality there is only one being and this being transforms Himself into 3. This doesn't make sense because Jesus said "The Father is greater than Me." Plus in an upcoming paragraph, I will talk about how God the Father and God the Son want a family and the Christians who love God are the ones who will be added to the God family. But, the Holy Spirit isn't a person, it is the Spirit of God.
=====================================================

Jesus at His Baptism: Matthew 3:17
God the Father spoke from Heaven, This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Right here you can read that the Father is in Heaven and Jesus was on Earth so they cannot be a trinity.

Jesus Said the Heavenly Father is Greater than Himself
A being cannot be the same and be greater than himself at the same time. John 14:28 says, 28 "Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I." This verse explains why the Trinity is false. If the trinity was true then all 3, God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit would be one entity which is not true according to this verse. The following definition of the trinity disagrees with what Jesus said,  "'triad', from Latin: trinus 'threefold') is the central doctrine concerning the nature of God in most Christian churches, which defines one God existing in three coequal, coeternal, consubstantial divine persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit, three distinct persons (hypostases) ... This is not true because Jesus said the Father is greater than I." God is also not coequal because again, Jesus said "the Father is greater than I," John 14:28. Sadly, most protestants accept the trinity doctrine.

What is the Meaning of John 14:26 about the Holy Spirit?
The United Church of God explains that the Holy Spirit, from the evidence found in the Bible, is not a person in a supposed Trinity. The Holy Spirit is the very nature, presence, and expression of God's power actively working in His servants. (Link to the UCG article below). “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” Jesus is not going to abandon us, he promises to send the Advocate, and other translations say the Helper, or the Comforter.

Again, here we see that the Father God does Things Independently of Jesus
The oneness of God comes from God wanting a family called the God Family but every person is independent of each other and not all of them in one God but all of them in the God family. Also, in Genesis it says "Let us create" and this means man was created by both God the Father the co-reigning God who later became Jesus, the Son of God as God the Father introduced the God family by creating Jesus from the co-reigning God.

Note: The picture on the top is the emblem of the United Church of God and I posted it because this church has proven that the trinity is untrue.
