Jesus Explains Who His Relatives Are
Jesus was asked about His relatives and Jesus didn't try to make His biological relatives look important. He said that all those who do the will of my Father in Heaven are my mother, sister, and brother. Matthew 12:46-50 KJV46 While He yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
48 But He answered and said unto him that told him, "Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?"
49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50 "For whosoever shall do the will of My Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother."
Modern Research on the Topic of Family Trees
Many people cannot even trace their relatives back very far because of wars separating people, people being sold into slavery, adoptions, babies being sold to wealthy people and the list goes on.

Jesus Explained Who Our True Relatives Are
Even if we who call ourselves Christians, have relatives and we have at least 1-3 generations to go back or even more but our relatives don't believe what we believe, then that should not concern us. What should concern us Jesus said, is those who do the will of God the Father. One's biological relatives might come around eventually and that would be beneficial but we can't let that worry us. Meanwhile, we hope for the best for everyone. We can call our fellow believers in Christ, mother, sister, or brother.
